Zonaly Vega, MSW, LSW

Zonaly is a licensed social worker who earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work at Northeastern Illinois University. While pursuing her education, she also became a licensed certified pharmacy technician where she worked before coming to North Shore Family Services. This makes her comfortable discussing the effects and challenges of medication management and provides her with knowledge on how to support her clients’ medication needs.

Zonaly works with children, teens, and parents. Within these populations, she has worked with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, ASD, DD, trauma, relational conflict, and school-related concerns. She also has experience working with youth involved in the legal system during her time at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.

Zonaly is passionate about ensuring that all her clients feel safe, heard, and seen. She believes that creating a successful therapeutic relationship is the foundation of client growth and development. Zonaly includes the functionality of a family system to develop a targeted treatment plan for her clients, as she believes that a healthy family system is imperative to the success of all people.

When not working, Zonaly enjoys cooking Puerto Rican cuisine, listening to music, dancing, playing with her puppy, and binge watching new TV series.
