Stacey’s passion is to inspire growth and change in the development of the human spirit. She understands that knowing one’s worth and value transforms the human experience into a more loving reality. Stacey believes that in the emotional self we find our truth. She uses a collaborative and empowerment-based approach to help guide clients through the treatment process to discover self-awareness and to utilize self-acceptance to achieve therapeutic goals.
Stacey prioritizes her spirituality, three adult children, and therapy clients in that order and her tenure as a professional counselor spans a total of 15 years. She loves her work with adolescents, emerging adults, middle-stage and late-stage adults, the LGBTQ+ community, and has special interest in providing couples the safe space to emotionally connect while learning skills to last a lifetime. Stacey is a relational, integrative, collaborative, and holistic counselor who prides herself in the foundation of loving awareness that brought her into the practice of therapy.
Stacey completed undergraduate study in Psychology at Purdue University while starting her career in mental health as a Psychiatric Technician at Wabash Valley Hospital. A few years after undergrad, she moved to the Chicago area to raise children and she completed her graduate study in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University. She went on to enjoy a long tenure in academia as a University Counselor and adjunct professor. Stacey’s passion for life-long learning and her commitment to clinical excellence led her to complete a second master’s degree in Counseling at Northwestern University. She enjoys following her passions at North Shore Family Services and continues to be excited to share her expertise with clients as a dynamic clinical mental health practitioner.
