Melissa Harper, MA, NCC

Melissa is a mental health counselor and nationally certified counselor. She has provided intake services, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapy to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, traumatic stress disorder, life transitions, varying mood and behavioral disorders, and interpersonal partner violence. She has worked in a variety of settings helping her clients who are struggling to cope with life changes. Her approach is diverse, based on her client’s personal and cultural needs, and driven by trauma-informed care and strength-based models. She uses evidence-based treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused interventions, and family structural techniques.

 

She enjoys working with clients who are struggling with daily life stressors. In order to do this work effectively, she strives to view clients holistically, taking into account cultural, religious, family, and relational structure considerations.

 

Melissa holds a Perinatal Mental Health Certification which identifies her advanced knowledge and experience working with women in the perinatal and postpartum stages.

 

She will be your therapist and support you every step of the way as you successfully achieve goals, discover inner strength and empowerment, heal from trauma, and find meaning in your adversity.

 

When Melissa is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
