Kristen Faisant, M.Ed, LCPC

Kristen is a licensed clinical professional counselor who has experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and families. Some of Kristen’s clinical specialties include working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD-related challenges, trauma, and grief.

Kristen is calm and compassionate, and she uses a strengths-based, collaborative approach to help clients achieve their goals. She strongly values the relationship between client and therapist, and sees it as a key component to driving growth and change. It may feel daunting to begin the therapeutic process; Kristen strives to create a safe, warm, and inclusive space where clients can explore who they are without judgment.

Kristen received her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, and she received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. Kristen went on to pursue a post-Master’s certification in Equine-Assisted Mental Health through the University of Denver. Prior to working at North Shore Family Services, Kristen worked in child welfare, school-based settings, and implemented animal-assisted therapy interventions.

When Kristen is not at work she enjoys spending time with horses, her dog, and listening to music!
