Jeanine Ogorek, MA, LCPC, RYT

Jeanine is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. She also earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Jeanine has been working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and their families in a variety of settings, such as private practice, therapeutic day schools, and residential settings since 2015.

 

Jeanine is a strong believer in working with clients to identify and develop skills that will translate to their day-to-day lives. Jeanine recognizes that the therapeutic process takes courage, dedication, and commitment. She emphasizes the importance of providing a safe and open environment fostering a collaborative relationship with all parties involved. Jeanine uses an integrated approach consisting of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness and stress reduction techniques. She believes that a holistic approach to healing and identifying one’s own personal tools brings forth success. She is honored to have the opportunity to work with clients during their therapeutic journey by empowering them in identifying their unique strengths and potential.

 

Jeanine has experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional challenges, mood and behavioral disorders, trauma, and cognitive and developmental delays. Jeanine has experience supporting identity development through education and career exploration, as well as working with individuals during life transitions, such as motherhood/parenthood. Jeanine has completed advanced training in perinatal mood disorders.

 

Jeanine believes strongly in self-care and spends her time practicing yoga. She also enjoys exercising, cycling, and spending time with her husband and son.
