Colleen Kay, MA, LPC
Colleen is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. Since 2019, she has worked with children, teens, young adults, adults, and their families in both private practice and community mental health settings.
Colleen believes that change is possible—even when it feels scary. She is here to help you navigate that change with compassion and support.
Her therapeutic approach is strengths-based and nonjudgmental. Colleen encourages clients to explore how their challenges may stem from a combination of family dynamics, subconscious beliefs, and personal patterns in order to foster meaningful, lasting change. She provides a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable discussing their experiences and emotions.
No matter what brings you to seek therapy, Colleen will help you (and/or your child or teen feel more confident, grounded, and empowered to be your authentic self. Her goal is to help you better understand your emotions and behaviors, explore their roots, and build the tools you need to overcome obstacles and move toward achieving your goals.
Colleen can help those struggling with symptoms of depression, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, anxiety, behavioral problems, trauma, and life transitions.
