Maria Millett, MSW, LCSW

Maria earned her Masters of Social Work degree from Michigan State University and completed her undergraduate studies at Hope College with a bachelor’s degree in social work. Maria considers herself a lifelong learner and has obtained professional development certifications in mental health first aid, nurturing parenting, clinical social work with families, parent management training, Early Pathways Home-Based Health Services for Young Children, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and many more.


Maria tailors the techniques and strategies she uses with her clients to fit the specific strengths and needs that are brought into sessions. She helps clients problem-solve through Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy and other strength-based approaches. She has worked with all ages, specializing in individuals struggling with low self-esteem, life transitions, depression, anxiety, bullying, PTSD, and other behavioral issues.
