Irina Khan, MA, LCPC

Irina is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor that earned her Master’s degree from Adler University. Irina has years of experience working in higher levels of care with children and adolescents with mood, anxiety, eating, and substance use disorders. Irina has also worked at a substance abuse center for professionals. She has extensive training in trauma, substance abuse, and attachment difficulties. She has a natural ability to build rapport and assess each client’s most appropriate therapeutic intervention.

 

Irina collaborates with all of her clients to create individualized plans for treatment, allowing them to foster strengths and achieve maximum benefit from the therapy process. Irina’s approach is grounded in scientifically-backed methods; she has specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT). She utilizes up-to-date treatment techniques that are comprehensive, goal-directed, and sensitive to each person’s culture, beliefs, and values. Irina recognizes the importance of her client’s support systems and therefore includes family members in treatment and welcomes their feedback and input.
